In this work, the kinetics functions and characteristics of the grinding as well as the particle size distribution (PSD) with population balance are obtained by fitting and analyzing the size distribution curves of waste glass powder (WGPs) ground for different time. The influences of activation condition and percent addition on the pozzolanic activity of WGPs in mortar bars are also investigated. The test results indicate that the grinding time required for WGPs is correspondent to Rosin–Rammler–Benne (RRB) distribution model. The results of Blaine finness show that both the equivalent particle size and specific surface area (SSA) of glass powder show a good linear relation to logarithm or double logarithm of grinding time. The first-order exponential decay relationship between the size fraction yield of WGPs and the grinding time under lab conditions is confirmed. Activity indexes of WGPs at 7, 28, 56 and 90 days increase with prolonging mechanical activating time within the range of this experiment, which indicate that mechanical grinding can effectively excite the activity of WGPs. The flowability is the best when the grinding time reaches 45 min, and the median particle size is about 10 μm. The experimental results indicate that mechanical grinding can effectively excite the activity of WGPs. The composite effect of WGPs and silica fume (SF) instead of partial cement in mortar bars shows the complementary effect in strength. Furthermore, the study concludes that when considering factors such as cost, workability, durability, etc., the optimal percent addition of WGPs and SF replacing cement are 27% and 3% in mass, respectively

Mill Powder Tech (MPT) has been a grinding and mixing machinery manufacturer from Taiwan for 70 years, and their client is a leading seasoning powder supplier. Hot pepper, black pepper, white pepper and cinnamon are the spices mainly sold by the client to Europe and Japan. As soon as you walk into their plant, among all the production lines from countries such as Taiwan, Japan, Europe and China, you can see three sets of turnkey projects from MPT. At ALLPACK Indonesia tradeshow, twenty years later, the client decided to order two extra production lines from MPT for their new factory. Why MPT? For the last 20 years, none of the machines from MPT needed any repairs, even during busy seasons when they required the machines to operate 24 hours a day
A lifespan three times longer, quality powder delivery, malfunction-free, high production, low labor cost, simple installation, and easy maintenance are what the client experienced. They never needed MPT to install the production line - that's how uncomplicated it is. For spices that are dry, crispy and contain less than 15% oil, PM6 is perfect. Actually, sugar is the major grinding product for most of buyers. MPT's pin mill turnkey project has been maximizing its production capacity and providing evenly sheared powders, which permits the Indonesian client to sell high-quality seasoning powders globally
As a spice supplier, two factors necessary in order to provide high-quality spice powder are: to ensure the scent of spice is perfectly preserved, as well as to ensure each spice is evenly ground. For the last 70 years, beginning with Japanese style, to today's German milling system, MPT's milling and grinding equipment has avoided the heat effect on powder. Their client's spice milling turnkey project consists of feeding hopper, belt conveyor, hammer mill, pin mill, cyclone separator, dust collector and discharge rotary valve. The design, which separates the motor from the bearing and belt, along with hammer mill and pin mill's heat dispersion from rotor's rotation, means that powder's standard is elevated
We all now that overheated powder milling equipment can result in a change in the spice's flavor, scent preservation, and machinery malfunctions, along with shortened lifespan (70% of usage of machine is recommended), by allowing each component to operate independently, the machine's lifespan is prolonged. PM6, the spice grinding and milling production line, is designed for mass production without thermal influence
When you insert 100 kg of spices into a grinder turnkey project, the output is also 100 kg. Nothing is wasted. Cyclone separator plays a role in directing where the powder gets collected. For new plant expansion, the cyclone separator is tailored for hygienic reasons. After multiple of shearing and grinding cycles, powder that can't pass through the filter mesh will get collected by the cyclone separator. Powder that does pass through would be the product that is ready for sale. The hammer mill and pin mill are responsible for the grinding processes, and the dust collector ensures nothing is wasted
At the new plant, the PM6 production line used to mill hot pepper, white pepper, black pepper and cinnamon, is a combination of feeding hopper, belt conveyor, hammer mill, pin mill, cyclone separator, dust collector and discharge rotary valve. It is a heavy duty 50 HP milling system that is suitable for mass production, with150-200kg per hour and 20mesh ~ 150mesh fineness
Zurmat Group of Businesses (“ZGB” or the “Company”) proposes to construct and operate the Zurmat Flour Mill (“ZFM”), a regional, state-of-the-art shortflow flour mill to be located in either Gardez City or Zurmat in the District of Paktiya Province. Expected output will be 30MT of vitamin fortified flour per day, expanding to a maximum capacity of 60MT based on projected future increases in planting and harvesting due to higher flour prices and increased demand generated by the flour mill itself
The current regional market for flour is largely dominated by imported products. The recent upsurge in food commodity prices, and the tightening of imported flour from Pakistan, has created a demand for competitively priced, high-quality domestic flour. As a state-of-the-art regional commercial mill, ZFM will provide locally manufactured, superior quality and competitively-priced flour that is also vitamin fortified and halal certified. Fortified flour is generally not available to most of the Afghan population, and as a new source, ZFM will contribute important health benefits to a significant portion of the general population
2. Company Summary 2.1 Company Ownership Mr. Zaland Yousaf is the founder of the Zurmat Group of Businesses (ZGB) which has a proven track record of success in sectors spanning construction, trade, IT and consulting. He is a self-made entrepreneur who landed his first job through a family connection working on Forward Operating Base (FOB) Gardez in Paktiya Province. That first job was a US$800 contract from the Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) Gardez to paint the Governor’s Compound. Yousaf was the only employee. Five short years later, Mr. Yousaf’s company, Zurmat Construction Company (ZCC), now has more than US$60 million in projects, employs 1,400 people and is recognized as one of the best Afghan general construction sub-contractors in the region
ZGB recognizes that, while general contracting is a vibrant growth sector in the current Afghan business climate, increasing demand and commodity prices make agribusiness a highly attractive option for diversification. ZGB is seeking partners and investors to help realize the economic and social value of a regional shortflow flour mill in Paktiya province
2.2 Government Relations Doing business in Afghanistan requires in-depth knowledge of the local environment and established working relationships with government officials. Through its diversified businesses developed in the last three years, ZGB has formed excellent local business and government relationships, including with International Security Assistance Forces and Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) staff and leaders in Paktiya province). ZGB is also exploring the possibility of tax and duty exemptions or mitigation, justified by the important social benefits from ZFM (which include greatly increasing the country’s domestic food production and security). While there is no assurance of government incentives, ZGB’s established presence and credibility will facilitate negotiations with local and national government agencies to address project needs
ZGB believes a regional flour mill will not only create economic gains for Afghanistan, but help address a critical food security gap that plagues Afghanistan. The domestic flour mill market is dominated by Pakistani imports, which are low cost during surplus years, and prohibitively expensive during shortfalls (as is the case during 2008). See Section 5. Market Summary. As a result, during wheat shortages millions of Afghans face starvation. Increasing domestic production capacity is therefore vital to addressing one of Afghanistan’s most pressing food security vulnerabilities. The Government of Afghanistan (GoA) recognizes this reality, and ZFM plans to seek GoA support once suitable private sector partners are engaged
